Tiled Trio

Coronado

Thanks to a medley of eye-catching elements inside and out, three brand-new homes in Coronado were sold before they ever hit the market. As our firm often does, we collaborated on the exterior finishes and design with the builder – in this case, Belmonte Builders.

Our team of interior designers in Southern California had a hand in everything from developing the supplemental construction plans, floor plans, and elevations, to sourcing and designing all the tile work and surface materials. We also sourced and specified all lighting, ironwork, hardware, millwork, appliances, and plumbing packages.

As a set of cloud condominiums, which are common to Coronado, we worked on three separate dwellings. Since the front house is deemed historical, various aspects, such as the front facade tiles, needed to be preserved. This led to a design that’s truer to the traditional Mexican style. In contrast, the two rear homes feature a more transitional Spanish style, including contemporary encaustic tiles.
